Either the makers thought that dodecahedra looked cool, or they didn’t
research about space-tiling polyhedra, or they believed that they were
actually living in 4d space and wanted to build 120-cells. O:

Third option is best option, I mean if it gets any better they’ll add
rhombicosidodecahedra and other stuff onto it for cantellated 120-cell
spam. :D
