Well, it definitely makes sense to support no-macro contestants if there
are enough people who want to try. I’ll therefore plan to support 2
categories: with and without macros. Anyone can enter in either
category, but I’ll only consider a category to be a competition if it
has at least 3 participants. If anyone wants to try for both then we can
hold them separately, otherwise everyone gets the same puzzle to solve
and we’ll have winners for each category that we have sufficient
participation.

If you’re interested, please send me privately which category(s) you
want to compete in as well as your prefered dates and times in GMT and
we’ll see what we get.
